What If Corona restrictions continue?

We all hope for the Corona virus to disappear. Finally, we all can go back to ”normal” life for both work and spare time. Many people speak with great hope and plans for less restrictions around summer and then they will ramp up in sales, market activities and promotions even customer meeting face to face and some even participate in trade shows.

I hope for this to happen as much as the rest of us. I think though one need to start planning for continues restriction in our societies. Meaning that traditional face to face meetings for business will not appear unless in very strict and controlled forms. Digital communications and digital meetings will continue to be normal sales activity for at least the Business to Business, B2B part. Social selling will continue to grow and be an upcoming success factor for companies that will strive and success forward. Digitalization and digital transformation of company process through portals, e-business will need to evolve in a much higher pace than today. Competition will be fierce as the digital platforms equals out many large business to smaller quicker, and more aggressive to gain market share.

I think business managers need to plan for this scenario. This is not the time for “getting through” the Corona phase, it´s now.

The trends are clear Digitalization, Social Selling and e-business, they will continue to grow regardless of Corona restrictions or not.
